A New Era at 26
On November 6, 2025, Andrew del Villar walked into the DEL Records offices in Bell Gardens, California, with a title he had been preparing for most of his adult life. At 26 years old, he became the CEO of the independent label his father, Ángel del Villar, founded in 2009.
Andrew didn't just grow up adjacent to the business, he grew up inside it. Starting as a teenager collecting tickets at nightclub doors, he worked his way up through booking theaters and arenas, eventually becoming COO and running the live events operation for one of the most active touring rosters in regional Mexican music.
"I started from the bottom; collecting tickets, charging when we were doing the nightclubs, and booking U.S. shows. Then, I kinda became A&R... Just like my dad, I have a good ear and can identify who has potential."
— Andrew del Villar
Rewriting the Rules of Latin Music
DEL Records built its empire by championing authenticity. From launching Gerardo Ortiz and Ariel Camacho, whose timeless anthem "No Lo Hice Bien" remains our most watched video at over 764 million views, to orchestrating a global takeover.
In 2023, the math changed for the entire genre. Discovered on social media by Andrew del Villar, Eslabon Armado partnered with Peso Pluma to release "Ella Baila Sola." It became the first regional Mexican song to top the Billboard Global 200, hit #4 on the Billboard Hot 100, and achieved 21x Platinum RIAA certification.

Digital Discovery & A Focused Roster
While the core genre stays the same, the methods are changing. Andrew's vision relies heavily on digital instinct and global talent discovery. He has revamped "Canta Con Del" originally a local performance contest into a global digital platform where artists can submit directly through social media.
Maintaining an elite, highly focused roster of around 20 artists ensures every act gets the resources they need to dominate. Joining heavyweights like Lenin Ramírez and Yahir Saldívar, the label's newest signees - Marco Granillo, Andi Luan, and Cobian Montana are ready to carry DEL Records into its next chapter.
